and steel plants are located in Jamshedpur
and Bokaro in Jharkhand, Bhilai
in Madhya Pradesh, and Durgapur in West
Bengal.

PETROLEUM REFINERIES:-
In
India, petroleum refineries are in Mumbai,
Cochin, Mathura, Barauni ,Haldia, Vadinagar and Jamnagar in
Gujarat.

is mainly found in Assam, Gujarat, under the sea in Bombay High, near
Mumbai, Rajasthan, Krishna-Godavari Basin
USES:-
1. It is an important source of energy.

get fuels such petrol, deisel, kerosene oil etc. from petroleum. 3.It is used to make lubricants, plastics and cosmetics.

Our mineral resources will get over very soon. So they need to be
used judiciously and not wasted.
