Q1.
Why cannot sea water be used for drinking or irrigation?
Ans1.
Sea water cannot be used for drinking or irrigation as it contains
salt.
Q2.
What problems occur in India because of rains occuring only in the
monsoon months?
Ans2.
Rivers are full of water during the monsoon months. Therefore, there
are often floods during these months. The extra water simply flows

during the summer months because of shortage of water.
